Luggage Allowance, DL + KE
 

I'm flying to BKK, DL to ICN then KE to BKK, and the reverse on the return, flying coach (hoping for GUC upgrade on the Delta segments).

I know for Delta as a Diamond I get 3x50 lbs plus two carry-ons. It isn't clear what the allowance is for the return; KE's website says I would get two 50 lb checked bags, except TPAC I'd only get one. I'm flying DE intra-Asia, but the ticket as a whole is TPAC.

Does anyone know what the actual allowance is?

You have to call KE to get the exact number of bags you can check per your fare. Once you have this number, you can add 1 additional bag for your SkyTeam Elite Plus status. The weight limits apply to all bags.

Be careful of your terminology when you speak with air carriers about this.

Your "allowance" is the allowance for the marketing carrier of the first segment of the ticket. Under US law, that carries over to all segments of this ticket. But, because you have a "waiver" of certain requirements, that waiver is not mandated by US law, although it is typically honored across alliances.

If you ask about "allowance," a precise agent will tell you that it is the same. That is not the complete answer.
