Anyone have experience with SkyPriority Panel?

Yesterday, I was invited to join the SkyPriority Panel:
Dear customer,

Wherever you go, we go. And SkyPriority is there all the way, guiding top customers to seamless red-carpet services at more than 1,000 airports across the globe. Priority check-in, boarding and baggage handling – and priority lanes at ticket offices, transfer desks, security and immigration – all are automatic for SkyTeam Elite Plus, First and Business Class travelers.

Thank you,
Sincerely yours,
SkyTeam
Does anyone have experience with this or received the same invitation?

Milkman Jun 16, 2015 9:54 am

I received it too and signed up. Thought it couldnt harm.

nam_sg Jun 16, 2015 1:20 pm

same here ... I also signed up and will see what will happen.

Goldorak Jun 17, 2015 1:34 pm

I haven't received it, but where is the invitation or the "panel" in the text you quoted. I'm just seeing an information e-mail about SkyP benefits
What do they want from you guys ?

stimpy Jun 18, 2015 2:40 am

Yeah I don't see anything about a panel either. However if there actually is one, then why would we be selected out of the 80 million Sky Prio members worldwide? :)

I think it was related to our experience of the Sky Priority concept. I've frankly already forgotten.

dc2005b Jun 19, 2015 9:50 am

I received a similar email and it included the below text;

"Now you can help to make SkyPriority better than ever. Become the latest member of our exclusive sky-priority panel of traveling experts and let us know all about your experience with SkyPriority. Just click on JOIN NOW to create your profile today and let us learn from you!"

Filling out the brief survey of your travel habits it says if you are selected, there will be an app on your phone so that when you are "near an airport" it will come to life and ask you to review your experience and even submit photos of the conditions you see while using SkyPriority services.

Got the reminder today [original email some days/weeks ago] and after filling basic info, was told they already have enough people of my profile.

Goldorak Jul 2, 2015 11:51 am

I received the invitation today and I registered (link was working well).

KQ321 Jul 4, 2015 12:35 am

Has anyone actually gained access to the app yet?

I received the initial invitation email, registered, and received a reply saying that I had been 'preselected', and adding 'If you have been selected to join the panel, you will receive your personalized username and login shortly'. However, I haven't yet received any login details, nor a link to access the app.

KLflyerRalph Jul 7, 2015 2:12 am

Interesting. Does the sign-up link seem personal?

Yes, and detects if you've already acted on it.

Same answer as you, and 2 weeks later, I have still not received any confirmation. I don't understand how they can take so long to respond. Either you fit in the profile they're looking for or you don't

It seems to be moving forward, but still very slowly
I just received this e-mail and according to what they say, we can still have to wait for several months !!!

Dear customer,

Thank you for your cooperation!

We would like to thank you for your interest in becoming an exclusive SkyPriority panel member! By participating in this programme, you will help SkyTeam to improve its service offering to you and the rest of over 600M passengers that fly SkyTeam member airlines. For your convenience and satisfaction, we only settle for the best quality. We are very happy and grateful for your support.

The past couple of weeks we have invited customers of all member airlines of the SkyTeam Alliance to become exclusive SkyPriority Panel members. We are happy to announce that we are close to finishing the recruitment phase.

The SkyPriority Panel, your gateway to our boardroom.

The SkyPriority panel brings together a group of frequent travelers who have experience with the SkyPriority services delivered to you by all SkyTeam member airlines. As a member of the panel you will have exclusive access to the SkyPriority APP which you will use during your travels to audit the service you receive.

Only panel members have access to this mobile app which allows them to share their experiences by uploading pictures, describing their journey and evaluating our SkyPriority performance via a very short checklist of “yes/no” questions.

Ready to board?!

In the coming 2 weeks we will prepare the publication of the app in the app stores. Starting mid-August we'll send out personalized usernames and logins to all customers who have been selected to join the panel. This will be a phased approach and as such you may receive the email with login credentials in a few months as we integrate and grow the program

Keep an eye on your inbox. More information will follow soon.

Thank you for helping us making SkyPriority even better!

lapeijuju Jul 30, 2015 1:36 pm

I received the same message.

KL714 Aug 13, 2015 6:59 am

The app will go live in the coming weeks. Selected panel members will be notified and they will receive login credentials and further instructions.

Still nothing for me. :td:

Just got the invite.

Carel1 Oct 5, 2015 7:17 am

I received the invitation by email today.

stimpy Oct 5, 2015 8:18 am

I got the app invitation today and downloaded it. It seems functionally the same as the Quality Observer app with the new feature being it will detect when you are at a Skyteam served airport and launch automatically. It's strange that the only 3 languages it supports are English, Spanish and Simple Chinese. So Delta, Air Europa and Xiamen airlines audiences, but not Air France, KLM, China Airlines, etc.

Apparently there are already 2471 "observations" in the database so I guess it's been going on a while.

Xandrios Oct 5, 2015 12:43 pm

Received the invite today as well; when I checked this afternoon the counter was at ~2000 submissions. Seems that over a period of a few hours about 500 were added. Which may mean the program just started recently.

stimpy Oct 5, 2015 12:46 pm

Yep, I see it at 2585 now so its increasing rapidly. I wonder how many people are now using the app? 10,000? 100,000? If you consider that most of us don't fly every single day it has to be a pretty big number. Maybe a lot of Chinese customers?

Goldorak Oct 5, 2015 4:38 pm

I finally received my invite today and made my 1st review already :)

I've had access for a few weeks (not sure why I got access so much sooner than other posters here), but the number of submissions has now started to increase rapidly, so there are presumably more people using the app. However, I am not sure the number is that big. Bear in mind that each separate observation at any airport (eg: for check-in, for boarding, etc) counts as an individual 'submission'. So, with check-in, boarding, baggage-claim, and perhaps transfer and security, observations - plus a general observation for each airport - on a two-segment itinerary, one user could easily make up to ten submissions on a single trip.

The MEA lounge in Beirut has leaflets advertising the SkyPriority panel and encouraging people to sign up, so it seems that SkyTeam are trying to increase the number of people using it now. (Or maybe they're targeting certain markets which they feel are currently under-represented).

Goldorak Oct 6, 2015 3:27 pm

I have made my 2 first reviews and I have to say I'm a bit disappointed by the lack of details that are asked. Indeed, my home airport is CDG, so a big Skyteam hub with many terminals and concourses used by Skyteam carriers and particularly AF. When you make a review for CDG, they don't even ask you for your terminal. The problem is that the SkyP experience, outside the signage, can be very different from one terminal to another (depending on the type of flights that are specifically operated) and depending on ground staff. So this app and the reviews done are useless IMHO without the flight number and date and, for big airports, the terminal of departure.

Yes, I noticed that.

Now the tally stands at 3913.

mfkne Nov 2, 2015 1:43 pm

I have stopped using the app and uninstalled it after it started asking me for a password every now and then.

Goldorak Nov 2, 2015 6:41 pm

working well for me.

Goldorak Jan 14, 2023 3:15 pm

I am resurrecting this old thread. The SkyPriority panel has been re-started last week with a new version of the App. The previous version of the app was not working for years, well before Covid and I even deleted it from my phone. Those of you who were part of the former panel should have received an email.
I have reinstalled the app and used it a first time in CDG. It’s been indeed totally revamped but we’ll see if it’s really better than the previous one. Now there is a section about lounges, but they may have upgraded the app but they forgot obviously to update the database behind. When you want to review a lounge and select CDG, here is the list of lounges that pop up…
Another amateur IT work.

Out of curiosity, what's the purpose of this app? To give airlines feedback about various SP lounges? Does the app have any benefit for the customer/traveler?

initially only SP services (check-in, immigration, boarding). Lounge is not a SP thing, but they added a lounge review module to the new version of the app. I have no clue whether the previous version has led to any improvement (I sincerely doubt it). The app is so badly designed that it's a complete waste of time. I used it again today for an AF flight from Spain and AF was not even a possible choice and my flight number was not recognized.
