RTW Destinations

Looking for hints for next award RTW - already done one, to more common destinations, but would like to do second one, perhaps in Winter/Spring 2013 but I am struggling to figure out some more exotic destinations that ST si flying to...like Easter Islands or so... where would you go? :)

That's a pretty broad question. What types of places (besides "exotic") are you interested in?

I would go to Reunion. But it really depends on what is exotic for you. If you're French, Reunion is not exotic, if you are American it might well be.

Have you been to Korea and Russia? Chengdu? Dubai? Istanbul? South Africa? Kenya?

Just use this tool on the ST website (http://www.skyteam.com/en/your-trip/...ses/Go-Global/) to see all destinations, exotic or otherwise.

Thanks for the input - I have booked following stops, starting from Prague (I am Czech).

Lima
Havana
Fiji
Taipei/Hangzhou
Male
Joburg/Cape Town

(visited Shanghai/Beijing, New Delhi, New Zealand and Australia on my first RTW, and had to cut off Tahiti from the trip)

I don't think one would want Male and Tahiti on the same trip.

Yeah...3 days in each, but both places are on list that I would like to see (especially before Maledives will sunk) and I would not book a trip to just visit either of these alone. :)

Is three days enough, given the difficulty of getting in and out, plus the cost of getting from Male to the resort hotels?

I agree. I would rather spend more days on your south Pacific island on this trip and go to Male next time. It does not make sense to rush to a beautiful island just for the sake of having been there. These places are all about relaxing and enjoying nature. You will miss the point about visiting them if you go about visiting them in a way that would be suitable for a quick weekend in a large city. This works with Paris, London, Berlin, New York (or Prague), but not with Male, Fiji or Tahiti. If you have a 3-day trip to Male, you can boast about it to your friends or send a postcard from there (to show off) but face it, you will never truly have been there and experienced it.
