I think this relates to a comment from Willie Walsh that if Delta were to acquire American, they would try and get Delta to move to OW.

A lot of "what if's" would need to happen for things to get to that stage...

Mr. Walsh should know that the DOJ would not allow a merger between AA and DL. Concentrating US-based intl/domestic traffic amongst two big carriers will not fly with regulators. They have no interest in creating a price-fixing duopoly.

The only way DL will get any of AA is if AA files CH.7
