Here’s a little guide to SkyTeam’s operations in Australia, relatively small compared to oneworld and Star Alliance, with only 4 ports served by SkyTeam members. Hope this helps! :)


Sydney Kingsford Smith International (SYD/YSSY)

SkyTeam airlines use other airlines Lounges at other airports, as shown below;

Korean Air: Air New Zealand Lounge (BNE)
Vietnam Airlines: Qantas Club (MEL/SYD)
Delta Air Lines: Air New Zealand (SYD)
China Airlines: Qantas Club (BNE), Air New Zealand (MEL)
China Eastern Airlines: Qantas Club (MEL)

It must also be known though that Alitalia (AZ) do offer codeshare flights with Air France, KLM and Malaysia (even though MH are not part of Skyteam you still get all the benefits that an AZ numbers gives you for Skyteam)

On the same note so does AF (QF) and KL (MH).

Good info. I have a few trips planned US-Perth, hoping to get DL miles through this partnership. Sounds promising.

If you are flying US-PER you should ignore the above table and look at the DL/DJ codeshare joint venture to earn your miles.

Yes, you should look into the DJ/VA/DL code-share arrangement, we don't want you to do something crazy like US-CAN-PER (the only SkyTeam operated route so far). You can simply hop on LAX-MEL/SYD/BNE then transit domestically on DJ, with one ticket, and earn DL Miles, you don't even have to fly DL! ;)
