Earn AF miles or DL miles?

So I got cheap air tickets to CDG by AF, and the booking class is N which means I earn 25%x2=50% (FB Platinum).
I'm based in the US, and I'm not sure if I should credit those miles to DL.
I know I can earn 100% miles from DL, but I also heard that it's hard to use DL miles...
What about AF?

Also, if I want to earn DL miles instead of AF, how can I do that?

I'm a *A guy, and I don't know anything about ST... I got the FB Platinum status by status match this year.

As with *A airlines, it all depends on what you would like to get out of your FFP, given your typical flight and booking class pattern.
If you just want to collect some miles with these 25% flights to get award flights it is probably safe to say that going for DL is not a bad choice. You will get 4 times the miles after all. I do not belive that DL award availability is so bad that it would justify earning only a fourth of the miles.
If you live in the US you will also benefit from loads of miles promotions that are around every now and then - something you will not get with Flying Blue, at least not to such an extent.

Why 4 times? You mean 2 times? I'm a Platinum with FB, so I thought I earn 50% of FB miles with N tickets.

Sorry, I overlooked the remark about your status. Anyway. Even if it is factor 2 now, going for DL might really make sense. (But again, it depends on what you want to get out of this whole exercise.)

Moreover, DL does not charge the fuel surcharge for rewards flights originating within the US, for now. But AF allows one-way rewards and has promo awards (50% off).

My FB account number is already attached to my air tickets, and I don't want to lose lounge access and other benefits if I want to earn DL miles because I don't have an elite status with DL.
What is the best way to swap my accounts?

AFAIK you would get a DL FFP account, and then call them and ask them to change the number in the booking. Regarding the benefits, I would say it is sufficient if you just show your Plat card whenever relevant (check-in, lounge) and, if necessary, explain that the number in your booking is DL's FFP.

Of course, this approach comes with the risk that someone will not honour your FB status, but I would say this is a pretty small risk if you are friendly and polite. In any case, once you have checked in with your FB number in the booking, chances are basically zero that FB will transfer your miles to DL's FFP.

If you are FB Plat it means you credit a lot of miles to that account. Are you sure you will be able to credit so many miles to your DL account to reach any award threshold? I'm puzzled.

The OP got FB Plat through the status match earlier this year.

My question is kinda in the same vain, hope you dont mind me hijacking the thread. I have a long haul on AF planned, but I am disappointed at the 25%(+silver bonus) I am getting.

My main goal is award econ flights within Europe. Is there a better program for me, maybe OK or AZ?

My status was also obtained through status match.

Join a star or OW airline and get full miles that are actually worth something
