SVO - transit area and control of liquids ?

If we are transfering in SVO and have duty free liquids on first leg do they control liquids again in SVO or we can open safety bags before seond leg from SVO ?
For example in ZRH there is a liquid control in front of "gates area" while in IST or WAW if you are transfer pax and arrived from other country and you are departing to another you don;t have to go to another control.
The question is coming from issue about drinks bought on first airport :)

Beware of SVO checks! I do not know the current situation for transits but they were very strict (to not say more... ) with liquid checks.
One year ago I saw a policemen with dozen of bottles behind him...
The least to say is that he was very efficient!
Kidding apart, Russia has to deal with terrorism and I think that's why they strictly apply the rule especially towards EU and USA flights.

In IST it very much depends on where you are headed to. They have plenty of gates configured to be able to perform a security check entering the boarding area and my last flight through - to BCN - included many water bottles "surrendered" at the x-ray. I'm not sure about booze in sealed DF bags.

Your booze will be confiscated in SVO incase of transit so either do it the Russian way:D:D(DRINK THE BOTTLE BEFORE LANDING IN SVO) or watch it go away:eek:.

OK, I've never transited SVO but how do they check it? With the new security arrangements in place there are no more gate checks. You surrender your liquids right after immigration and the whole sterile area is one open zone with no further checks. Is there a separate security check for transit passengers?

Check that employees seal very well your drinks. I personally saw people being obliged to leave drinks because seal was not closed.

There's a security check for the transfering passengers. When you are in SVO next time check it out - it is between gates 12 and 13.

Yes you can carry onboard any BOOZE that you buy in the duty free shops in SVO because they are located after the security check area. So no problem's here.

You should be fine as long as whatever you have purchased is in a see-through bag, properly sealed and has a receipt attached to it.

I would not bet on this dude. SVO is a strange place and rules or rights don't mean much sometimes. Its like a Russian Roullete. You could carry through but then could be the other way round as well.
