Sixt Long Term Rental
 

Hi all, I tried reaching out to Sixt for an answer on this to no avail, so figured I would try here.

I am planning on renting an SUV (XFAZ) for around 9 months from Sixt in Boston. I am going to be staying several hours away from Boston for the duration of my trip, so it would be a challenge to drive back to the Sixt station (other than when I have to return the vehicle). Does anyone know if I have to bring the vehicle back to the Sixt location for any reason during my trip?

The last time I rented a vehicle for this long was many years ago, but the Enterprise at that time tried to get me to return it every 28 days, so just want to make sure I won't be facing something similar here. Any insights would be super appreciated.

Often, they will want you to bring it back monthly for oil changes and other maintenance, but if you will not be local, they will sometimes agree to let you get the vehicle serviced locally and then keep the receipts and they will reimburse you at the end. See what they say at pickup. You can usually work something out. They may not say anything at all, but even so, it's good to keep up with the required maintenance intervals on the vehicle.
