Status Matching?
 

I've been a Hertz Gold since the mid-90s, and I think I've of the 1000+ rentals over the years I've only used another agency twice. I'm a creature of habit and I like the ability to just walk up look for my name, get my car and go...

But this trip to Germany/Belgium was kind of a joke. Hertz in general is really hurting after they sold off most of their fleet so it's slim pickings in general, but I was astounded that - in germany of all places - they gave me a vehicle that has a top speed of 125; a Jeep Compass. The one good thing about the pickup at Cologne was that I had to walk past Sixt's stalls on the way to my cinder block. It's the first time I really noticed their selection and I was impressed. I've got an RS6 as my daily driver so the Audi and BMW offerings caught my attention. Even more so when I looked and discovered that even after my corporate discount with Hertz, I could have gotten an A6 Avant for 15% less than the Jeep.

From what I've gleaned from the forum, they're super diligent about looking for damage and a little overzealous with the fuel charges. I've also seen mentions of platinum lines but when I look around on the website I can't find anything about status. The only thing I found was through a web search that linked back to the site but I can't tell how to get to that page.
