Late fee - after 28 days

Late fee - after 28 days

I have an active hire in Ireland originally of 28 days (max contract length) through autoeurope. Due to a late maternity arrival today, it's very difficult to return the car tomorrow and the one reservations rep I spoke to says they won't extend it.

I have seen other threads that indicate Sixt's usual late fee is just the daily rate. Does anyone know if this will be the only charge or will it be higher due to the 28 day max contract and/or because I hired through autoeurope? AE just said to contact Sixt.
