Uruguay – after hours airport pick up and drop off
 

Does anyone have any experience picking up or dropping off after hours at either PDP or MVD airports? Both locations have opening hours: 9:00 – 18:00, but they also list 24h pickup and return at Sixt website. My flight arrives at PDP at 19:30 and I will be dropping off at MVD after 18:00. It’s a little strange to see airport locations with such limited hours, but I am just wondering how this after hours pickup and drop off works if the office is closed. Would I be better off going with other rental agencies that are open 24 hours?

They tend to show up at the time indicated at PDP.

If you're only there as a tourist and don't live there, find a 24 hours location.

Last thing you want is getting on a plane, getting somewhere and they call you to tell you the car is either gone or something happened.
