How big are differences between classes?
Hi,
I plan to rent a car from Sixt in the U.S. for 3 weeks and make a 2200 miles roadtrip. I found great offer from Sixt and now, I am deciding which class to take. Could you please tell me whether it is worth to invest more and take a better class or whether it is wasting money? How big are the differences between classes? Also, should I ask them for specific car? For which one? - ICAR (Intermediate) - $467 - FCAR (Full) - $513 - PCAR (Premium) - $583 (all prices with full insurance) Thanks a lot for comments! |
So, I decided to go into PCAR. I gonna spend a lot of time in the car so let's have something comfortable.
Can you recommend what car should I request from the PCAR class (I plan to send an email to them in advance, noting what car I would prefer). I saw Mercedes CLA as example. That sounds good but I'm not sure if it's also for the U.S. as Mercedes is not so common there, right? |

Be aware that Sixt vehicles can only be operated in the pickup state and surrounding states. Not sure where your 2,200 mile road trip will take you but if you were doing a drive across the country, you may have to pay $0.50/mile.
Look for Territorial Restrictions & Rentals across state lines |
Hi seawolf, thanks for info, but fortunately, I will be traveling Atlanta-Miami-Atlanta and I checked on Sixt webpage that this is OK.
However, it was surprising to me that they have this limit. Maybe it's a way to limit the unlimited mileage. Any ideas what PCAR is the best at Sixt? |
