Sixt and FF programs
Hi!
I would like to try Sixt for the first time, but I must be dumb because I do not find any way to input any FF programs numbers during the reservation process. It is especially annoying since high status with some airlines/hotels is supposed to have some effect on the Sixt quotes, but how can it be since there seems to be no way to indicate which FF program you have before you get the quotes. What am I missing here? Thanks a lot |
The only thing that you are missing is the ability to input a frequent traveler program that you want your rentals credited to.
I've had my own issues with Sixt over this and, unfortunately, YOU are the one that will have to monitor it. My experience has been that at each rental counter (ZRH, MUC), I have had to show the card for the program I want credited. They cannot store this info for some unexplainable reason. Their system is very primitive compared to Hertz, Avis, etc. |
when you make the reservation you can enter your program details.
in order to be able to benefit from special rates the program has to be matched to the equivalent sixt card and then the right tariff is behind that card. in contrast to other rental agencies, Sixt checks before renting if someone is eligable to a certain tariff. nothing to do with a primitive system. (system may be called so, but not for that reason :) ) |
Sorry, but my situation has nothing to do with the "tariff". It has to do with getting frequent rental points credited to the program of my choice - SPG. I have had to repeatedly request credit for these points over the last 2 years. I have much e-mail correspondence with Sixt representatives that document that there is a problem with the Sixt system.
You're talking about tariffs, I'm talking about credit for rentals. Apples & Oranges. |
ok, then I misunderstood that.
why are you not entering the number online when you book the car? or afterwards 3 days after the rental is completed under mysixt? |
I used to be able to input my United Airlines frequent flyer number but MySixt no longer accepts it. anyone else have problems ?

Airline miles with Sixt rentals
No way to enter the FFP in your Sixt rental.
I wonder if there is a website with all the Sixt rental partners (airlines) and how many miles one can earn. |
