Transit hotel Terminal 1 or 2?
 

I'd be arriving in T1 at 12:25AM and leaving from T3 at 10:15AM. I don't have status at present, but may be able to use a lounge as guest. However, a real bed just might be better.

I requested a budget room in the Transit Hotel and they assigned me one in T1. So far so good, but the website mentions "24 hour construction" in T1.

Any recent experience on how bad the noise factor is? I would have flown ORD-NRT-SIN and would be about to fly SIN-BOM-DEL, all in Y, so a few hours decent sleep would be important.

I realize that there is some logic to T1 as I arrive there, but should I request that they switch my room to T2?

Any other tips on making the most of SIN in a few hours would also be appreciated.

In my experience, the soundproofing in the transit hotels is excellent. Perhaps someone has more recent specifics on this construction than I do, but if it's not in the next room I wouldn't worry.

Of course, someone who can comp me in some fantastic lounge is also welcome to step forward. :) The hotel would have a real bed, but the lounge would have the thrill of freebies that is hard to shake off. This is MR, and once I regain my status I'd be glad to comp my fellow FT'ers.
