Sofas in Executive Suites
This is a fairly peculiar question that perhaps only FT can help with.
I'm looking to book an executive suite in a Singapore hotel with the requirement that the sofa in the Suite be at least 6 feet long. I've stayed at the Mandarin Oriental which fit the bill perfectly with a really nice L-shaped sofa, but since its rates actually went up since last year despite the crisis, I thought I'd look around. The only other option I found was the Pan Pacific, gleaned mostly from looking at pics on the website. Writing to the hotels directly proved to be a hit and miss affair, from no responses, to an immediate reply from the 4S giving the exact dimensions to the centimeter. Too bad the 4S sofa was too short by at least a foot. Does anyone have any experience staying in Singapore hotels in rooms\exec suites with a large straight or L-shaped sofa? And before you ask, I want it to be long enough to be able to lie down flat watching TV - yes I do that a lot when in Singapore. Don't ask why. |
You may wish to check the Regent Singapore -- the photo on the website of the Four Seasons Executive Suite looks like the sofa *may* suit your needs.
Other hotels you may wish to consider: Grand Hyatt Inter-Continental Ritz Carlton Shangri-La Conrad Fairmont IIRC, our suite at the Grand Hyatt, Conrad, IC and RC had large sofas -- I have not yet stayed at the Fairmont or Shangri-La (nor the Regent) but it may be worth trying. Out on Sentosa, maybe the Capella may have sofas that meet your requirements. |
