Changi one of the best airports in the world. No immigration if you decide to stay airside - you can take a leisure walk from terminal to terminal or use train. Most shops will be shut at that time of night and not sure when they open in the morning.

Not sure which lounges are 24 hrs - There are also transit hotels airside. http://www.changiairport.com/changi/en/index.html for information re airport complex.

If you decide to go into town, taxi service is available, no crowds but a 12 midnight surcharge. For 6:50 am flight, get back by 6 am and you will have plenty of time for formalities.

We did this during our 7 hour layover and it was a great way to pass the time. We went to Bugis Street (which is very close to Little India) and walked around the markets. Minibus is very reliable and well run. They are very conscienscous about making sure you know the exact pick up time and location.

When Stopover desk is closed?

Landing around 1:20 a.m., and don't fly out to MLE until the next evening, have arranged through Singapore Stopover for hotel, etc.

I notice the desk closes in the evening - anyone have any insight how I get vouchers for taxi (we chose private transportation this time), tours etc.? I assume the hotel is fine with the printed confirmation.
