Orchard Parksuites - anyone stayed?
 

Just looking at the possibility of booking an apartment at Orchard Parksuites for an upcoming week long trip to Singapore.

Anyone stayed here before? Any comments on the place?

Hmm, I had a colleague (Sr. Exec) whom we put up there and he liked it, but when he saw the cost for it he almost fainted (> 10K SGD). On our corp hotel rates he could actually stay 30 days in a hotel suite and not may more plus get loads of points. :D Location wise and facilities no issues at all though. We actually moved the guy to Treetops (Orange Grove Rd behind Orchard Hotel on way to where we got a better rate (7K SGD or so, not sure). Sorry no more info on it.

regarding Treetops, just in case you are interested, I have also stayed there for a good 4-5 months in early 2004 (our corp rate was 3.5K for a one bedroom back then, but that was before the property hype and we rented like 30 apartments). The place is big, quite nice facilities, huge pool and rooms were furnished comfy, had an open kitchen area with all the cooking utensils and so forth (but who wants to cook with food around so nice and cheap) though not the latest stylish designer stuff furnishings. Had cable, dvd, broadband internet, 10 items laundry a day, cleaning 6 times a week I think, etc.)
