What about the Grand Hyatt on Scotts Road? I am booked for a 3 night 4 day stay for $279 SGD (perday) around Christmas. Also what is the best way to get from the airport to the hotel? Does the Hyatt have any shuttles or do I need to pre-arrange my transportation?
|
Taxi from airport to hotel is the best and fastest way to get there.. as I have learned from a similar question on the IC forum!

Do try Mezza9 at Grand Hyatt... I have not been there for a long time, but I enjoyed all my dining experiences there!! |

Thanks |
Is the Holiday Inn Parkview referred to above much nicer than the Atrium on Outram? I've stayed at the Atrium and it seems to be cheaper on a regular basis; the location is only average in my book, though.
Bit of a drift, but since it was mentioned above was curious. |

This is a long-running thread in which established FTers have been lamenting the bad service of Grand Hyatt Singapore. |

Thanks The only thing is that Conrad and R-Carlton are a bit off centre, but not that much. In any case, taxis are plentiful and extremely cheap. |
Thanks guys. That helps a lot. RC it is ^

SIN Hotel
I've managed to book the Marriott on Priceline several times--right next to the Grand Hyatt and a very nice hotel. The location is actually a bit better because of proximity to the MRT.
|
Suggest you also troll the SQ website. The often have hotel/stopover deals. Only 24 hrs in SIN is not nearly enough time!

I picked the Oriental for $125 US. Any reviews? How's location. Do you all prefer the RC?
|
1k-all-the-way, there is no difference in location between RC and Oriental. They are within 5 minutes walk of each other. I don't think you can say there is any particular hotel that is preferred by all. You can't really go wrong whether you choose the Oriental, or RC, or Conrad, or Raffles. They are all unique in their own right.
Hope you enjoy your stay in November!! I'm sure you will! :) |
