Thanks for the replies everyone. Obviously not an easy decision anyway with the current climate, procedures and costs involved. Just wanted to get a feeling of the current situation in case I have to leave SIN for family reasons.

Despite anti-foreigner/pro foreigner views you're already planning to fly to Singapore, and I wish a very safe flight.
Make sure you got netflix/work or something ... I was super duper bored watching the same episode of westworld every day for a week on HBO LOL

He is planning to fly to Singapore _after_ he leaves Singapore. His main question is if he will be allowed to go back.
