T1 : security checks still at gate?
 

Are security checks at T1 still at gate?

I will fly Jetstar and their gates are probably far from the lounges. Any insights regarding this?

They certainly were still at the gate at the end of July this year and have not seen anything to sugest they have changed.

Given the layout of T1 it is impossible to segregate arriving and departing pax so the security check will always be at the gate, until the terminal is torn down and rebuilt. The security check is very fast as they have ample staff doing it.

Thanks. How long is the walk from Premium Plaza lounge to the far away D gates? I am flying Jetstar and won't be shocked if my gate is one of the furthest.

I concur about 15 minutes gentle walk and yes security screenings are all done at gate for Terminal 1 - 3. Only T4 has centralised security screenings (immediately post immigration).

Fortunately, my gate is a C gate. So, it's a little closer.
