Aerotel hotel- how to handle check-in and baggage at T4 before going to hotel?

Hello all,

I will be in Singapore for business with an estimated end of day at 5 pm and I will be catching my flight on Korean Air/Delta from Terminal 4 at 1:10 am. Between 5 pm and 1:10 am, I'd like to get a room at the Aerotel hotel at Terminal 1but I will have baggage to check in. I'm not even sure I can get my boarding pass ~7 hours before the flight (codeshare flight) so I can get airside to access the hotel. What do you guys think is the most efficient way to handle my bags and get to/from the hotel?

My thinking-
Arrive at T4
Drop off bags at storage somewhere landside (T4)
Get boarding pass at Korean Air desk (T4)
Go through security (T4)
Take airside shuttle from T4 to T2 then go to T1
Check in at Aerotel (T1)
Check out of Aerotel (T1)
Go landside (T1)
Take landside shuttle from T1 to T4
Get bags from landside storage (T4)
Check in bags (T4)
Go through security (T4)

I will have tools which means I have to check bags, cannot do carry-on only.

Thanks!

I would be interested as well to learn if it is possible for a pax departing T4 to enter T4 and then take the airside shuttle to T2. Is it 100% ok, or does it depend on how strict the line minder is feeling that day?

KE early check-in opens 6 hours prior to departure according to the Changi Airport web site, so it might not be necessary to use landside storage for bags in OPs scenario.

Early Check-in | Changi Airport Singapore

1630-2359. note that this is only for KE-operated flights (or DL codeshare on KE-operated flights). DL-operated flights doesn't have early checking

OP should be flying KE646 SIN-ICN. he can enter via T4, and then shuttle to T2, then walk/airtrain 10 minutes to T1 for hotel (and do the reverse)

with that said, i think it's a waste to spend 7 hours AND the commute is horrible. There is an airside lounge at T4 (Blossom Lounge), they have a private sleeping area (but it's not a room unfortunately - other lounges in T1-3 have private rooms)

OP may want to look at Ambassador Transit Lounge/Hotel @ T2 - they have private rooms and commute isn't as bad

this is not possible. once you enter airside, you CANNOT return back to landside without flying out. people have been jailed for doing this (they enter airside to get cheap duty free, and then try to return landside without flying)

You should be able to early check in.

And going from T4 to T2 should not be an issue on the air side. I've done it before and all they do is check that you have sufficient time to go - usually a couple of hours.

I decided to extend the hotel I'm staying at for another night even though I'll be checking out at 11 pm.
