Trump Kim Summit in Singapore

So, President Trump decided to hold the summit with Chairman Kim in Singapore, and suddenly, Singapore got blanket media coverage over the few days both leaders were here! It was a rather interesting time in Singapore for all of us. From an aviation perspective, it was fascinating that Chairman Kim flew in on a Boeing 747 (belonging to China). It was probably much safer for him, since nobody knew how reliable his Soviet era jet was.

The Air China Boeing 747 as it descended to land at Changi Airport.

The plane believed to have carried Chairman Kim.

Plenty of footage throughout the days, but one very interesting version of events was produced by North Korea official TV. Here is the video, which I took the liberty to add some English commentary. North Korea brought their own camera crew, and all throughout, they were busy filming their Chairman. Thanks to his night tour of Singapore, we got plenty of coverage too!

In what was probably the first of its kind in the world, Singapore's Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan took a we-fie with Chairman Kim and Minister Ong Ye Kung, and posted on his own Twitter Account with the hashtage, #GuessWhere ? #jalanjalan

Oh yes, Kim's Soviet-era jet, the Ilyushin-62M, has a cockpit looking like this.
