Chinese New Year vs. Chingay Parade

Hey FT,

Want to go to Singapore but only have a few days. I will be choosing to go during the 2 days of Chinese New Year or during Chingay Parade (about 8 days later after Chinese New Year).

Anyone have suggestions on which would be better to attend? Any feedback would greatly be appreciated.
