24 hours in Singapore

Hello! I fly in SIN from DPS in December at SQ J around 15.30 and depart the next day at 12.00 to Hanoi via BKK J on a different ticket SQ and TG! Will I be aible to check in the second flight 24 hours before and droop the luggage so I can visit the city and return for a sleep at the transit hotel? Thanx

You don’t need to merge the two tickets. SQ allows early check in at SIN, up to 24 hours before departure:

I have done it several times.

OP is flying TG from SIN so the check-in time is determined by TG, doubt it is more than 4 hours ahead. Interling the bags DPS-SIN-BKK is also not possible at DPS checkin due to the 24 hour stopover, so OP will have to clear customs at SIN and recheck bags with TG. Best to ask TG when their check-in opens but it won't be like SQ.

What number_6 said. I've had to recheck baggage in SIN in such situations (long layover) even when it was slightly below 24hrs due to the final destination being +2 days than original departure.

Simply, it might be even if they'd be willing to check it through in DPS it might not be possible.

However, there is a reasonably cheap "left luggage" counter landside in SIN, where you can just leave your luggage before hopping into the MRT for downtown (I assume that's part of the plan, to travel light while in SIN, and not needing cabs to schlepp heavy luggage across)

The first leg from SIN to BKK is SQ and the second to HANOI is TG at one ticket

Hello, the plan is to go with no luggage in the city and visit the gardens by marina bay and then go around midnight at Changi and sleep at the transit hotel until my departure the next day

Check it here. Apparently Thai doesn't really do early checkin. Weird, seems more like a budget airline then.

Not a problem at all. I have taken the an Air Asia flight from PEN to SIN in the afternoon to catch a SQ flight the following morning from SIN to SFO. I checked my bags for the SFO flight, took the MRT to the city, returned to the airport late at night, went through immigration, and spent the night at the transit hotel. I have done something similar coming from SGN to SIN, and then flying SIN to SFO the next day.

Thank you! Your info helps a lot! One more thing I fly J but I wonít stay at the lounge because I need to sleep, which transit hotel should I choose? I was planning for the T3 because it looks nicer!
