I suggest you take a look yourself and perhaps then come back and ask a question about others' experiences so you can make a choice.

Do some research and try Priceline.com.

I recently had a 1 night stay in Singapore, and went the priceline route bid in $5 increments and had success at $145($179ai) for the Goodwood Park Hotel, which worked out good for my needs.

It's close to the airport and u get to see a different side of S'pore. If u want city views etc, Marina Bay Sands is good.

You are probably unaware of that: This site is very poor. First, if you click on the Ambassador link, the reservation window does not change, but keeps showing rates for the (expensive) Crown Plaza. Secondly, the Changi Village res keeps getting an error msg "past date", when inquiring for an Oct 11 date.
