Public transit after midnight

I will arrive on an UA flight at 12:20am. Is there any public transit I can take to the city (Conrad hotel) at this time or am I stuck with a taxi?

Trains from Changi Airport end a little after 12 midnight so I think a taxi will be your choice. There will be an additional 50% midnight surcharge.

Sorry, you're out of luck. I was just checking - looks like both the SMRT and the SBS bus (bus 36) finish their services before you arrive in SIN. This takes into account possible extended service hours for Christmas Eve, Christmas, New Year's Eve and New Year's.

Take a cab. It should take about 20 minutes and cost no more than S$30.

Public transit in Singapore closes at 12. So you are out of luck here

Oops, with due respect to the poster, there is mass transit at night. That is, it is true the MRT shuts down, however both SBS and SMRT buses run skeletal services from city area to the suburbs from say midnight to about 5AM. Note that these services are rather limited so one has to take into account the possibility of taking a cab.

Noting the OP's question was targeted towards airport services after midnight, in that specific case there really is no mass transit available during the wee hours of the night, however this is not true with regards to Singapore overall.

Not true... As i found out after my movie ended at 2 AM recently. The "night rider" services are only available on weekends and eve of public holidays

Mea culpa, you're right. I forgot that the night buses are weekends only. In any case though I commented as I did because your response suggested that there were no public transport options at all after midnight. Nevertheless I stand corrected that night bus service exists, but only on Friday and Saturday nights and the night before a public holiday (SMRT Night Rider).

What hasn't been mentioned above is the hotel shuttle, which is a fraction of the price of the taxi.

At $9/person for a service that's way slower than a taxi, it's hardly worth it for a single traveller, and it's almost the same price as a taxi if there's two or more of you.
