Checkmytrip - missing segment

Hi,

I've recently booked an award flight with US, which start with LH, then 2 segments SQ, followed by NH and finally LH again. Looking at the US website with their given PNR shows all segments and a ticket number, wrong class but that seems to be normal. LH PNR does not show the second SQ leg on lufthansa.com, nor does it with checkmytrip using the LH pnr. There isn't any indication of a ticket number either. When I was talking with SQ callcenter I was able to do a seat reservation and given a PNR, but that seems to be pretty pointless at the moment as from what I've read you can't check award trips with the sq website atm.

Now my question is, how worried should I be about the missing leg? Whom should I contact about it?

None. :) Your host airlines, US, has your complete itinerary. Other operating airlines, SQ and LH, only receive their respective segments, along with connecting segments as info segments. This is normal and there is nothing to worry about. This is the main reason why you must make any changes through your host airlines, US. @:-)

My US Airways Dividend Miles award bookings that include travel on LH usually start with a US Express-operated segment from SYR to LGA, picking up LH at JFK or EWR. The leading US segment has never appeared online on LH.com or checkmytrip.com, but everything always works out fine when I check in with LH.

The final segment, from LGA back to SYR, does show up on LH.com. As a result, the LH agents in the FCT/FCL on the way home can usually check me in for both the LH flight and the US connecting flight back to SYR. (The only time they couldn't was when I had a pre-assigned exit row seat on the Dash-8.)

Happy travels,
David

Thanks for the input, I first was considering that LH only knows about what they need to - but I found it odd that I haven't found anybody else who posted that problem/effect. What about the missing ticket number? Does that indicate that US might not have issued it properly like I've read somewhere?

I really don't trust US IT at all, I didn't receive an email confirmation (only after I called) and it seems like the booking put my online account into error mode where nothing besides logging in works. Can't view my miles, change my details etc. But I guess that's going a bit offtopic for this forum now. :)
