Quick question on redemptions
 

A friend of mine is trying to book an award redemption (as part of his honeymoon) and is stuggling as he is not too well versed in the matters.

I'm not too familiar with KrisFlyer, but can I check a few things ( I tried scanning the stickies and couldn't obviously see answers to my queries):

- there's no real problem redeeming with say Thai (or another *A) if there are award seats available (according to ANA web tool), is ther?
- Are stop overs allowed?
- Are one ways allowed? If so is it just half the miles?
- Are open jaws allowed if in the same country? e.g. SYD - BKK - HKT on the way out and URT - BKK - SYD on the way back?

1. Yup, you can redeem miles for any star alliance carriers provided seat are available.
2. Stop over allowed if you book roundtrip, I dont think SQ will allowing u to do stopover if you just book oneway trip.
3. Yes one way is allowed and you should be able to check in KF Website how many miles they will deduct it.
4. I am not sure if open jaws allowed. Check with KF Representative in Singapore.

Stopover allowed for roundtrip awards.

One way allowed on SQ metal at 70% of roundtrip mileage level. Note not on TG, SQ metal only.

Open jaw allowed.

Final question - are the stopover on a round trip option and the open jaw option allowed on a TG redemption?

In case anyone else was wondering, my friend managed to book the TG flight with a stopover and open jaw on the same redemption.
