It looks like it is canx. Fingers crossed they are taking care of you. I have this coming up soon so hoping no glitches.
No worries, if you are in it for the whole nine yards, I have been told the “done thing” is to head to the manned bar in sen lounge in either direction of your journey and get a negroni + espresso. Europe time is irrelevant for you after all — not that it should matter 🤷♂️

I'm on the incoming SQ26. Chatted with one of the flight attendants. She said the aircraft went tech. The crew for the replacement flight to bring the passengers to FRA/SIN are being brought in on my flight. Apparently mostly cabin seniors, so you should hopefully have a great flight! (although I'm sure you would've much rather have been able to depart on time!)

I had booked a pre-paid hotel in Frankfurt (1 night APR 6 to APR 7).
Can I ask SQ to reimburse the hotel?

you can try ask SQ. But most likely they will ask you to claim from your travel insurance.

The Virgin Clubhouse for Suites passengers is nice, though the food and drinks are not quite as elaborate as they were pre-COVID.
The business class lounge options are both pretty mediocre. (For anyone who has an Amex Platinum card, I would recommend using the Amex Centurion lounge over either of those included options.)

Also remember the Amex speakeasy off the first floor, which I find most visitors aren't aware of. I'd argue these are the best drinks one can procure at JFK T4 (though I haven't sampled Etihad's lounge).

The speakeasy is nice, though my issue is the crowd. If you have access to VS CH, it does give the Amex Cent a run for its money cocktail wise in a more relaxed atmosphere.

I agree (VS more relaxed). Particularly if with family. If solo, I'm largely indifferent. Plus, no views from speakeasy!

Flying this route next week, a few questions for this flight as a J pax:
1. What's good off the BTC menu from JFK and also out of FRA?
2. J Passengers can't use the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse anymore?
Thanks!
