I have a flight from SGN to SIN (SQ185) and are connecting to LHR (SQ322). Arriving in SIN 22:40 and LHR flight depart at 2330. That makes the connection 50 min. The reason I want to catch the 2330 flight is mainly because of A380 and UD economy. There is a later flight to LHR (SQ306) at 0110, but with an 77W and unsure if it is deployed with the new economy cabin. Not sure where the SGN flight would park in T2 or T3, but the LHR will depart from T3. Would 50 min connection in the evening be possible?

If I have a 5.5 hour layover, arriving 7:35am on SQ J departing 1:10pm on BR J, will that give me enough time to leave the airport and check out a few hawker stations?

I was thinking of possibly taking one of their free Heritage Tours as well. How long will it take to come back and re-clear security? Thanks!

Yes, you'll have time for some hawker centres; make sure to get your onward boarding pass in advance though and ensure you have identified your transport back to the airport in advance...i.e. near to an MRT station or taxi rank.

I almost got caught out on a Friday night where the taxi queue from the beach ended up being 30-40 minutes deep! Got around that back ordering a taxi by phone but it was close!

I doubt 11:00 - 12:00am will be too busy though.

Not sure when the first Heritage Tour starts though; but they do include transport normally and a time buffer for delays.

Did you book that trip all on the 1 PNR? If so, you'd think it's a legal connection.

I thought minimum was 50 at SIN. It's tight but you are lucky in that if SQ185 is late, you have a possibility of being booked onto SQ306.

@JClasstraveller

Yes, 1PNR. Hopefully 185 will make it on time or park at T3 near 322 gate.

I wouldn't be concerned one bit with that connection. Even if its a bit delayed, I still wouldn't be too bothered about making the connection.

Hi all - I've never been to Changi before, but will be connecting through next week. I'm considering a flight change...does anyone have input on whether a 65 minute connection from TG 409 (arrives 7:40 pm) to SQ 452 (departs 8:45 pm) is OK or should be avoided? Thanks!

We managed a 70 min CA-SQ transit with plenty of time to spare, even with a little backtracking to find the transit desk.

Flying business class helped, as we were off our CA flight very quickly. Also, we flew in early AM, I don't know if evenings may be different. Decent signage and lots of information desks, so you should have no problem navigating.

Should be okay, if TG409 doesn't get delayed. You need to change terminals though as TG arrives in T1 and SQ452 departs from T2. But travelling time from gate to gate should not be more than 20 minutes, depending on which gates your flights are using.

Since both are *A flights, hopefully you would be able to get your boarding pass upon check-in, hence bypassing the transfer desk.

Thanks everyone! Sounds like we should be in good shape if we end up making the change.

Right now I'm booked on an evening flight from DPS-SIN, and then on SQ326 the following day at 13:55.

Now that I'm reading about how efficient SIN is, I'm tempted to stay an extra night in Bali and book SQ941 from DPS-SIN arriving at 13:00 with a 55-minute connection.

Am I playing with fire here, or have others made this connection easily?

If it makes a difference, we'll be in C for DPS-SIN and F for SIN-FRA, and we won't have any checked bags.

Thanks in advance!

I think you cannot buy that... It seems to be less than MCT...

Thanks for sharing this. It looks like, according to that chart, the SQ941 to SQ326 exception is 50 minutes, unless I'm reading it wrong.

The site is offering it up as an option:

Sorry, I missed that exception Still, I personally, would not be happy with that connection, considering that next SQ flight to FRA is leaving at 23:55... Particularly after my last trip with SQ where I missed much longer connection times and arrived to final destination 13 hours late...
