Maybe Australians just know how to do lobster. Was also very good out of SYD in suites a few days ago.

BTC First Class ex-HKG: Lobster Wonton Soup

Book the Cook (ex-Hong Kong)
Lobster Wanton Soup
Lobster Wanton soup with ee fu noodles and Chinese greens

It was average. The wonton was great but the noodles were a bit on the soggy side.

I thought we'd get a picture from inside the bowl next!

You didn't tell us how good / bad it was.

Agree. Pictures alone aren't enough.

BTC F: lobster ex-SYD

Here's the lobster I had BTC-ed ex-SYD:

I would rate it a 4 out of 5. Great taste, maybe a tad too greasy.

And nice presentation, the crew were really good a plating. More proof here (customized dessert, with ice-cream/sorbet from two different dessert options on the menu):

Overall, well done!

BTC ex-SIN 8 oz Ribeye Steak

March 2019 Ex-Singapore Suite Class

Not sure if I was a great fan of it. There was nothing wrong with it but I felt that the quality of the steak was not that great to begin with. I prefer the Wagyu Sirloin to this straightforward ribeye steak!

Book the Cook
Eight Oz Rib Eye Steak
8oz rib eye steak with creamy green peppercorn sauce, roasted vegetables and garlic mashed potatoes

Hi, I will be flying to HKG on J (on award ticket).

I'm still contemplating between these 2 ex-SIN:
- Classic Lobster Thermidor
- Chargrilled Soya-Flavoured Beef
Any suggestions?

Also, anyone tried the "Shi Quan Mei Wei" ex-SIN and ex-HKG?

Hi looking for recommendations on the following flights for book the cook meals. flying EWR-SIN and then SIN -SYD both in J. Returning on SIN-FRA-JFK in suites. I will need to look at what I have had in the past. I think I probably had the steak which was alright but not really spectacular. I tried to do book the cook on a FRA-JFk flight or maybe it was JFK-FRA in suites for the lobster thermidor and they dropped it. Since it was the only one they had left I had to have something else and they gave me like $200 in gift certificates to make up for it. I understand the lobster thermidor isn't really raved about as much.

Unless I'm mistaken BTC is not available out of EWR yet. The Suckling Pig out of FRA is always a huge hit.

Hmm that is disappointing. The suckling pig does sound good.

I’ve had the beef dish and I thought it was not bad. My wife was not impressed with the lobster dish, but she dislikes virtually all airline food.
