Thanks,

From SIN I had the Boston Lobster Thermidor and my husband had the Ayam Buah Keluak. The Ayam Buah Keluak was decent (though we've never had it before so can't really judge how it compares to a "real" one), but the lobster was not good -- chewy, flavorless, and served with overcooked vegetables. I know others have enjoyed it ex-SIN so maybe I just got a subpar one.

I didn't try the regular menu items obviously but none of them seemed appealing to me -- I think there were lamb and veal options, IIRC, as well as a Chinese dish and something else. It's possible I would have enjoyed them if I hadn't BTC'ed and had been forced to choose, of course. I have the menu at home if anyone is curious but this was in November so it would no longer be current.

Also I notice from your earlier post you are flying an overnight flight SIN-SYD, we were on the SQ211 morning flight so it would have been a different menu in any case.

Flew SQ one way only. Return trip was EK F (and not to venture too far off topic, but I was all-around disappointed by their food).

I doubt it could be done in advance. Perhaps ask the flight attendant to skip plating any meat items? Otherwise, the items are kept separate from each other so you could leave the few that contain meat.

Same question as k3nnis
I wonder if anyone has experience ordering a Book the Cook 'Japanese Meal' in First/Suites?
How did it turn out to be ... ala Kyo Kaiseki or simply a Japanese main course?

Yes, Kyo Kaiseki is only for First Class/Suites. If you are flying to/from Japan routes in J, you have the option of the Hanakoireki meal on your regular menu.
