Business Class Award
am looking at a business award between uk and singapore, am i better going for manchester or london, makes no difference as i can get to both airports easy, is there any service difference between the 2 airports etc

I think MAN is operated by 772 and LHR by 744. I still like the 744 Upperdeck so if it were my miles I'd go via LHR.
Having said that, i've never tried a J class redemption from MAN, but from LHR it can be a bit tricky despite the 3 flights they have a day from there. One other alternative i think might be worthwhile is actually redeeming ex CDG or ZRH.
I find redemption seats easier to get from those two cities and it comes with the added bonus of them being mainland europe awards - which are 10k cheaper in J (8.5K cheaper if booked online) than UK awards.
Flying BD from LHR-CDG or LX from LHR/LCY-ZRH isn't an expensive proposition nowadays. Just my two centavos

I will aim for originating in LHR. Reason: 744 three times daily, LHR-SIN flights I found consistently offering great inflight services (perhaps due to tight competition), and LHR has SKL which is a great one to wait for the departure.
