Best Y seat in 777-300 and 777-200

Other than the bulkhead seats, what are the good seats in SQ's 777-300 and 777-200.

Seatguru indicates the second from last rows are the good seats.

Any comments?

I don't particularly like the seat pairs at the back. Too noisy and too much traffic. Of course, other people like them for the extra storage space by the wall.

777-300:
If you're travelling alone, 36 C or H (exit row) are the best seats in the house, followed by 50 C or H which have unlimited legroom. 50 AB JK also have increased legroom.

For 2 people travelling together, 35 AC or HK are my choice.

777-200 (3-class):
Exit row 44 C or H, 45 C or H for singles.
44AC or HK over the seat pairs at the back for doubles.

777-200 (2-class)

Bulkhead seats 31 ABJK on this plane are NOT good. They have less legroom than other 777 bulkhead seats. 31 C and H are excellent as they don't have the bulkhead in front of you.
51 or 52 C or H for singles.
50 AC is not that great on this plane as the first Y section has an inch less seat pitch than the second Y section.

I am travelling MAN-SIN-AKL return in Y later this year, and I'm just choosing my seats now that SQ let us do it advance. I have checked the ever useful seatguru, but am looking for a bit of clarification on the seats, this being my first time flying SQ.

There are two of us traveling, so are really looking for one of the pairs of seats at the back of the 772ER and the 744. One concern is that being at the very rear might affect meal servies, choices etc? Also, does anyone actually know if the recline is really limited in the very last row on each?

I would be most appreciative of anyones thoughts on which might be the best paits, or experiences with them.

Just adding on.....

Was on SQ's newest bird last week.....773 (9V-SYK) and found that 36A/K did not have the raft slide there so that 'block' is no longer there to reduce legroom. ^

Sorry, can't answer you on what 772ER seat pairs are like as I've never sat there.

9V-SYH onwards don't have the slide in that exit row. ^

I didn't have any of the above precious few good seats, and it was miserable. Even baggage stowage is a problem with the 3/3/3 config and too-small bins (777-200 anyway)

My condolences on not having E+ or Exec Y as an option.

I just did the SQ Y in the 777-300 for a five-hour flight, and will do the return flight in 777-200 within the next 24 hours. I will post a trip report @FT with photos upon my return to US from the current trip.

So far, my impression is quite favourable as compared to my experience in the 772-ER last year.

Is seat 31C good in B777-300 (3-class) for a solo traveller?

The problem with row 36 is it is very near the toilet.
Not good for people with sensitive nose and ears.

I've flown over 50 flights in that row and never had a problem...I guess I don't have a sensitive nose and the QC2s take care of the ears.

I haven't been in 31C, but I've been in 31A and it had pretty good leg space. Row 31 tends to get bassinet babies, though.

For the 777ER with spacebeds which operates the MAN-SIN sector, I personally like row47. The noise from the lavatory is not significant and its quite a nice place to sit in.

All well and good. But was there a reason why you chose to respond to a question posted more than 2 years ago, rather than the more recent inquiry?

Oh. I did not see the post date. I made a wrong assumption that this was a totally new thread. Hence thought I would post it here, so that the thread starter from the other thread could see some consolidated information. Nothing against the thread starter. My mistake.
