Status Match
I was wondering if Krisflyer would do a status match of an AA Platinum (Emerald)? If so, what level would they comp me to?

Your best bet would be to get UA to comp you to Premier Executive. That is Star Alliance Gold to SQ. Then achieve KrisFlyer status by flying while enjoying your Star Alliance Gold status.

In any case, zvezda's suggestion would be the best course of action - after all, Krisflyer (pretty close to) never comps from what I know. Besides, Krisflyer Gold offers little extra compared to UA Premier Executive anyway - this includes the inability to access the Silver Kris lounge at SIN.

Zvezda's is spot on. I have also never heard of SQ doing a Comp Status match especially in Singapore. As for the lounge question, all *A Gold Members travelling on SQ "Y" will have access to SATS Premier Lounge
. The lounge is not too bad but I would not want to spend too much time in there as it can get quite crowded and the food maynot be all that great
