Welcome to FT facuna :)

The best seat is a seat in F. But thats no help if you're flying econ. Are you on a econ, business or first ticket? One person, couple or more travelling together?

If you like the view; especially take-off and landings; cockpit jumpseat "wink wink" :D

Flying in economy for 2 people. I am looking for a seat with extra space for my legs (I am 1,95 meters tall)

Exit row. When you arrive at the airport, make sure you arrive at least 3 hours early prior to flight time and make a request for the exit row seat. You will enjoy excellent service, and try their sparkling wine, you have to request it as it is not served with the drinks. ;)
Please look at the Singaporeair.com website under Fleet section, you will view the different layouts for th 747-400 series planes. Good Luck.

Rather timely, we just finished that particular segment.
Asked at JFK for an exit row about 4 hours before check-in, and
secured 49 B and C- middle and aisle near the galley for both segments to SIN. Traffic was not unbearable, but was close enough to get Tiger beer refills and pop garbage in the compactor. I believe 39 is also an exit row on the 747-400.
Keeping that in mind, DO NOT get A or K window seats because the doors severely restrict legroom, moreso than having a seat in front of you.

However, on the return, I was informed all seats after FRA were spoken for (with the time difference they had actually checked in the day before), so the SIN agent would not put us in one to keep the continuity.

I missed out this one earlier. If you get this config, row 39 is not an exit row (it is on the other configs). I have checked in online once and the seatmap showed me in the exit row but when I boarded, I found myself in the last row of the section, so confirm with the check-in agent that it is the exit row if you get assigned to row 39.

In any case, I found that 39ABC on this config has a little extra legroom than the other non-exit rows since it does not have 40ABC. I don't know why SeatExpert has 39C marked in yellow.
