Eh? I thought the boarding priority is all printed on boarding pass (boarding group 1234), and QPPS or TPPS should always be 2? It should all be quite clear …..

A bit late to it,
Regarding the last part (at least for Paris CDG) it is a mix of things I suppose. We were departing from CDG with 3x First and x2 PPS + our own ground service. I suppose that due to that, the station staff stayed in touch with our agents to have our room in the star alliance lounge and hold everyone from boarding until we got to the gate, they took us to our seat made sure we were settled before letting everyone in. They probably held boarding by a minute or two so that we were first. But I do know that they would probably offer escort past the security control and immigration for F pax, as they offered once when we had an issue with our service we took. I will have to see with the station manager this summer as I am considering to do a more simple trip in a Eco or Premium to try it out if he could arrange for someone just to take us ahead of security and immigration as it's very long at CDG. (Perhaps thanks to flight history + PPS) But this so called VIP service is probably a mix of regular clients with familiar faces and having both J or F and PPS Club / Solitaire. |

The DACH team has been given dedicated company resources to help here, even if your SQ trip does not touch Germany or Switzerland, where they will try their best (eg for trips to US etc). |
I think JFK has always been pretty good about offering an escort through TSA to F/TPPS pax which is certainly one place where appreciate it. Then there are the random places like CPT where TPPS might be asked their boarding preference (first or last on board) and the staff will accommodate.

Just reflecting on this thread, as TPEG (Supplementary Solitaire) for probably 10 years I rarely use Priority Boarding, other than on Scoot (although I do use the priority lanes, when there's a big queue in the economy lane). But I'm the one they're paging towards the close of boarding :D
I kid you not, I was flying SIN-DPS a couple of weeks ago and was paged in the lounge about 30 mins prior to departure, so I made a very hasty beeline to the gate, as I thought I might have been paged as a fail to board. When I reached the gate, there were still people going through security and at least 1/3-1/2 the plane in the gate area yet to board. They must keep track of their TPPS's and see if any don't board after initial boarding, or did in this particular instance! |

I like it if ground staff ask you when you would like to board. Other than that boarding early in F/Suites means more PDB bubbly 🥳 |
I do hope I’ll be able to get someone to cut the lane at the airport in Paris if I ask directly to my PPS coordinator or station manager, probably going to try eco and premium economy for once ;)
but overall main perk with PPS and even solitaire id say is mainly first row being blocked and throne seat on the 737 |

When I was leaving about 2 weeks ago, every line was minimal (security, immigration) and we waited no more than 10-15 mins. |

Another data point. I thought that Solitaire meant F check in and boarding. I've just walked through F/Suite boarding at Sydney (multiple), Singapore (multiple) and London ( a few less) when flying J. All A380. I wouldn't be too happy to be sent to the back of the J queue. For SGD$50000 spend they should make it guaranteed IMHO.

In 26 years of TPPS, I've always been able to board first through the F priority line. No difference which port on multiple continents. Never an issue.

Nothing has changed from when I last posted on this. Very inconsistent. It may matter less on wide bodies as you don’t need to fight for overhead space. But I would like to see TPPS board short haul first when flying on the 737s on busy routes.
Indeed. I would consider boarding last all things being equal. Flying out of FRA, I have had more luck boarding even before F when in J — largely instigated by the local PPS office (this invariably includes LH HON style service on the ground, minus the lounge. They have been great at extending this benefit to my parents when they fly on their own due to my mom having my TPPS partner card). Funnily enough, SIN appears to be particularly restrictive here as the many airport staff stick to the rules at boarding — no doubt as TPPS are not unicorns there (unlike outstations in the US or continental Europe). |
