Errors when trying to book multi-city route

I'm trying to book a flight in April from NYC - SIN, and then SIN - LHR. So I go to the website, and enter in the details and press search, the multi city booking says error there are no flights available. That was strange and I thought it was just a website error, so I called PPS Connect. The lady was awful and could not find a fare and said you maybe have to do a one way. But one way is so much more expensive, why is there no multi city booking availability?? It's 2 very popular routes, SQ flies to NYC and LHR multiple times a day. Is this an error that will be fixed?

Airlines publish fares for specifics routes. It would appear SQ does not publish a fare for NYC-SIN-LHR (or North America-SIN-Europe). I doubt any airline publishes a fare for such a route. To do this you'll need to buy two one way fares just as the agent indicated.

Agreed with bpk6h. I wouldn't expect Singapore Airlines to create a fare such as NYCSINLON.

Could you consider some kind of Star Alliance round-the-world fare ? https://roundtheworld.staralliance.c...ound-the-world

Alternative, buy JFK-FRA. Then FRA-SIN-LHR.

I don’t think multi city is cheaper than 1 way in such situation actually.

SQ used to have a RTW kind of fare. US-SIN-LHR-US. The US-LHR sector operated by VS. This was many years ago, but if it exists, you can throw the LHR-US sector away and might still be cheaper than 2X 1 way.

The *A RTW is still available...TATL portion would be on UA or AC. Although not sure it would offer a saving.

Over the last little while, been trying to search multi-city for looking at vacation spots in SE Asia, then to India and back to US, and can't get the site to pull up fares at all, either. Something like SFO-DAD-BLR-SFO. Will not fare it either. If I pull out the middle, intra-asia segment, it will fare it (though not always competitively, for sure, but something like SFO-DAD, BLR-SFO, and then buy the middle segment separately). I always check as with some carriers/routings,as combining together will sometimes offer a better fare than booking separately.

One would think the SQ engine could at least put together the separate fares on one ticket, but apparently not. It just kind of is what it is.

SFO-DAD, BLR-SFO is reasonable route on SQ

SFO-DAD-BLR-SFO would pass SIN 3 times. Hardly a valid route.
