Partner award tickets on SQ metal - Business class - when?

So...my understanding is that since the start of COVID SIngapore Air has not made inventory available to partners for award tickets for First/Business - coach only. I see them for regional award tickets in Business...like SIN-BKK, Or Vietnam or Philippines, but not any further.

Any thoughts on when they might be available again?

That's false.

We've booked several SQ J awards SFO-BKK using AS miles.

SQ does not release F/J awards to *A partners on flights operated by long-haul aircraft, e.g., A380, 77W, some A359.

That's not entirely true either. LH has traditionally had access to those awards, and SQ on occasion makes them available to other *A partners, including even UA.

yes, that reminds me I did see a SQ long haul route on AS too a couple of months ago...related to a trip to Taiwan I too, which I ended up flying JAL Business.

But...it's very infrequent, no?

Mileage Redemption in First Class and Business Class on flights operated by Singapore Airlines (SQ) have paused for the moment as of June 15, 2020.

No, not correct, there is widespread SQ TPAC J availability. Check July onwards. Earlier flights have booked up.

What is TPAC?

I don't see it available on the routes I'm looking at...and I'm looking at 1 year out from ANA.

Bumping on this old topic. Anyone succesfully used NH miles for SQ longhaul awards? Can not see the same availability like I see on Aeroplan, but wondering if it might help to call.

Aeroplan seems to get much better SQ availability than other *A carriers. AS as well, until all SQ availability vanished. There are even reports that Aeroplan has availability when KF does not. Have you checked if UA has seats for the flights you are looking for? Might be a better indicator as to what NH might have.

Later this year I have TPE-SIN - Business, then SIN-PER economy -- on Singapore Air....using NH miles. Part of a trip to Australia - rest is in Business with EVA/ANA. I booked it a long time ago -- many many months. About a year before.

UA is not a good barometer, as SQ long-haul premium cabin is typically not available through Mileage Plus. It's been debated over the years whether this is a UA restriction or an SQ restriction, but it really doesn't matter - the bottom line is that with only occasional exceptions, there are no SQ long-haul business class awards available through UA.

The fact is that SQ makes different award releases to different programs. So just because space shows available through one program does not mean it's bookable through another.

This is one reason why AMEX MR are such a good currency for SQ redemptions - you can immediately transfer to KF or Aeroplan.
