SQ936

I'm booked on SQ936 in J late November (connecting from SQ21) and noticed that the flight has disappeared from GF and zeroed out on EF. Does this usually mean it will be cancelled and if so, how long in advance SQ generally cancels these things? Should I be proactive and call beforehand and get myself moved to SQ938 etc. which seems to be still selling?

It's an overnight connection and I have booked a room in the Crowne Plaza anyway so don't really mind if the flight moves a few hours but I would like to ensure that they don't cancel last minute and downgrade me to Y on a different flight if J is sold out. Also the ticket is was originally booked through LH and I'm on SQ because of some (lucky) cancellations if that matters.

Just a bit of friendly FT advice - I would put a little more detail in your subject line like the origin-destination than just a flight number if you want people to view/respond to your post.

In any case, I recognized the flight number because I'm booked on the return flight (DPS-SIN) on SQ937 and have noticed the exact same thing. The flight is no longer for sale, but still "confirmed" for existing bookings. I've already asked SQ call center agents twice, and they've claimed that the flight is fine and will proceed as planned (but I don't believe that's true). I'm waiting for SQ to cancel the flight or issue a schedule change, as they may not be willing to move your booking (for free) without the cancellation or schedule change notice. If the flight is cancelled, it should happen any day now leading up until Oct 30th.

From a capacity perspective, SQ/Scoot have a lot of flights scheduled for SIN-DPS this winter - SQ appears to have 4 daily nonstops on its schedule, and Scoot has an additional 3 daily (most are 787s). However, it appears only 2 or 3 out of the 4 SQ daily flights are available for booking, so I'm guessing that SQ934 and SQ936 may eventually get cancelled.

Exactly. Once people have to google the flight number, it becomes too much effort...
