LHR-SIN catering during UK lockdown

A relative is flying SQ J in the last week of April from LHR to SIN... understand that UK has extended its lockdown where food outlets and lounges at the airport are closed. The BA thread on FT is rife with how BA J gets no alcohol and serves only a miserable sandwich to replace the first meal, and if you’re lucky a microwaved pizza or panini slice for the second.

Has anyone taken SQ J from LHR in April, if so can confirm if full catering is still available onboard - with the usual menu and drinks?

Is your relative able to see the menu in manage my booking ?

This function seems to have been disabled for their flight. As is BTC.

I flew the route on 21 Mar and there was full catering in J. Can't say what it's like now though. Appreciate if you could provide an update after your relative has flown as I am extremely curious to know the current catering situation.

It seem like all the catering are now loaded in Singapore. Maybe it is for those short/medium haul flight.

Not sure it is true for the London flight as it seem like that the plane stay on the ground at LHR for more than 28 hours.

Thanks for your review of 21 March. As reported in the news yesterday (26 April), with the possibility of UK instituting 2 weeks self isolation (they learnt it from Singapore apparently!), my relative has decided to defer the trip. Too much uncertainty to deal with at present - to be subjected to 2 weeks isolation on arrival in Singapore, followed by another 2 weeks upon returning to UK!
