LOTS of blocked seats on SQ 11?

LOTS of blocked seats on SQ 11?
I was checking to see if bulkheads were already booked on SQ 11 on this flight in April, and it looks like LOTS of seats are blocked. I don't remember this being the case. Am I wrong, or is this new?

Usually, they will block seats for those who fly from LAX to SIN. It allows passengers to be in the same seat for the sectors from LAX - NRT and NRT - SIN.

Which sectors are you flying?

Ah, ok, just LAX to NRT for me. I thought this was a bad sign about a coming cancellation or something.

A sudden zeroing out of availability is an indication of an impending cancellation.

Expertflyer shows me similar seat maps for various flights throughout the year while on singaporeair.com all "blocked seats" apart from the usual suspects appear selectable.
