Can I skip the first leg but still fly the 2nd?

I want to skip the first leg of this flight because I will already be in Singapore:

I just want to take the 2nd leg: SQ478.

Why? because Flight SQ478 booked individually as an award is wait listed:

Can I skip that first leg? TIA

As soon as you no show for any segment, that segment and any remaining segments will be cancelled and will retain whatever value they retain under your ticket's fare rules.

Iíve had experience booking such journeys by calling SQ.

Failing which try originating in KUL. It may be easier commute to KUL than DPS.

Your entire itinerary will be cancelled if you do that.

Good info. But in the end I am pretty much deciding on Holiday-ing in DPS now before heading into CPT. Funny what routes didn't work for me in the first place now gives me opportunity for adventurous fun. lol.
