Question SQ185 - SQ221 with 23hr layover in SIN, do they check luggages through?

Hi. In early Feb./2020 we'll be flying SGN-SIN on SQ 185 arriving SIN 22:55 (said 19:50 which was wrong), with layover of 23hr, then SIN-SYD on SQ221 next day at 20:40. Would they check our bags through to SYD, or do we have to pick up and take to our hotel and re-check them next day? Would be nice if they can check through so we can go tour the city without dealing with the luggages.

Thanks.

Thanks. That makes it convenient. Now we just need to figure out where to stay for a night, then tour around the city before getting back to airport.

As per advice, they almost certainly can be. Should inexplicably there be a problem with doing so, then you can always do early check in at SIN when you arrive.

Really, that'd be awsome. But would there be any counter open at that late hours (we arr 22:50), to allow us checking in at that time?

Check-in counters in T3 are open till 2 AM. Since, last I checked, SQ221 departs from T3, then you should have absolutely no problems barring significant flight delays.
