Singapore New Suites Routes...

Hi everyone, can anyone confirm if the new SQ Suites are indeed on these routes: SIN--ZRH or SIN-LHR on their A380? Reason I ask is I've read the SIN-LHR route is only on SQ322, but I've searched on Singapore's website and only see only SQ308 on the A380 every day & don't see SQ322. I also went to SeatGuru for the seating maps and both the SIN-ZRH & SIN-LHR on the A380's--they seem to have the old Suites confirmation (12 seats vs. 6 seats that's supposed to be on the new Suites). Can anyone confirm how I can assure I'm booking the new suites on these routes? Thanks!

Thanks for posting the links? But if you read any of them--I don't see any addressing the issue with SIN-LHR not showing SQ322 on any of the days, but rather SQ308 daily on the A380-800.

The easiest way to check if you're booking the new suites is to check the seatmap. The new suites only has 6 seats while the old one has 12 seats. I don't know when you plan to fly but a quick check of a few flights in January shows SIN-ZRH and SQ 322 with the new suites and SQ 308 with the old one.

There is no issue. If they are sold out, the flight is not showing when searching for F. New suites flights are SQ322 SIN-LHR and SQ346 SIN-ZRH , no other flights yet.

Are you looking for a award seat or paying cash? If looking for award seat, will be very difficult unless you pay the full rate

Yes, I'm looking for award seats. No, I don't mind paying the 420k pts (2 seats) for a one time experience. I don't mind trying one of these 2 routes (SIN-ZRH or SIN-LRH), but looks like only SIN-ZRH is available (SQ346) as the London route only shows SQ308 (not SQ322) even 10, 11, 12 months out.

Anyone have any details on the actual upgrade schedule for the remaining? I thought it was meant to be finished by early 2020 - so they should be upgrading the majority of planes next year? Albeit, these things tend to run behind schedule.

Checking the SQ website is no guarantee. I booked a redemption a couple of weeks ago - included two sectors in Suites and two in First class. Now equipment swapped and all in First Class. I think there's an element of luck of the draw - especially if bookings are made far on advance.

seem like It will start in mid of 2019 (when JFK get the 441 seats A380). Guess they are pushing back the refit as they might be retiring some of the older the A380 when the 777-9 came in.

Oh that's a bummer! How far out did you book? And what's your route?

The retrofit is supposed to be done end of 2020 from what I read from press releases. I did the gantt charting of their intended completion date (end of 2020) and the length of time the first aircraft (9V-SKQ) needed to be in the hangar (4.5 months). With the ability to retrofit 2 at a time, and 14 aircraft to retrofit, end of 2020, beginning of 2021 the most likely completion date.

9V-SKQ is the first retrofitted aircraft and has been flying around to LHR (second A380 frequency w/o new suites), ZRH, SYD (second A380 frequency w/o new suites), BJS, HKG and JFK-FRA (only 2x so far). It came out of the hangar early January (6?).

9V-SKS has been in the hangar for 2.5 months. It should come out after one of the older A380 can go into the hangar and this is pointing to when the SIN-KIX route is slated to end (Mar 30). I believe after this second aircraft is done with the retrofit, Singapore Airlines should be able to put JFK-FRA completely on the new retrofitted A380 aircraft.

I thought that 9V-SKF would be the next aircraft to be retrofitted, but it was only in the hangar for about 8 days and it's now flying again. 9V-SKT has been on the ground in Changi for more than 24 hours and I have been watching all of SQ's 19 A380 and it could be the next to go into the shop if it doesn't fly any time soon.

Definitely, FRA-JFK is round the clock new suites by Jun 1 because of the equipment change reported on routesonline. Looking at where the first retrofitted aircraft has flown, LHR and SYD looks more likely to get the 3rd and 4th retrofitted A380. Once JFK-FRA is on the new A380, Beijing is most likely to be on the new configuration full time. SQ25/SQ26 arrival/departure fits perfectly with the SIN-BJS-SIN schedule. And the first retrofitted aircraft has flown the SIN-BJS-SIN route the most times in the last 30 days since I've been following the retroffited A380s.

I'm calculating that the 3rd aircraft would be done Jun/Jul 2019 by as long as another A380 goes into the shop soon. The 4th aircraft to be retrofitted should go into the shop by April 1 (coinciding with SIN-KIX A380 service ending) and should come out Sep/Oct 2019.

I obsess because we have MEL-SIN-FRA-JFK booked in Suites class for December 2019. 2 out of 3 segments in the new suites class is good so far. Low key wishing SIN-MEL remain the old config for proper research comparison.

It's been in the hangar for 4.5 months. Aug 2018 to January 2019. It's flown SQ345/SQ346 (ZRH) 3 or 4 times now and SQ856/SQ861 (HKG) about 2 or 3 times since January 9/10. It would not make any financial sense for Singapore Airlines to put this plane in the hangar for 4 to 5 months without retrofitting it.

If Singapore did do the switcharoo for SIN-ZRH and SIN-HKG to the old config, we would've heard it about now with people complaining.

this screenshot I took on January 8:
