Does SQ FF redemption in the US of 'business class' ticket to Y or F?

Hi All,

I am looking to fly London - Chicago - Salt Lake. I can find J availability on LHR - ORD but then of course domestic flights in the US are Y or F. Since I am redeeming long haul J; does my short haul flights ticket to Y or F?

This would of course be using KrisFlyer miles on UA.

If you try dummy bookings for tickets paid with money, I assume the domestic connecting flights would book into FC at least if the correct fare class inventory is available (for example, deep discount business class fares might not get last seat FULL F availability). Do that experiment for some random dates to check whether SQ and UA work together as expected on this.

For all intents and purposes, UA domestic "First" is Business. Even UA First Saver awards book into I, which is the Star Alliance bucket for Business awards.

Assuming there's I space available, you'll be in "F".

To United Domestic First. Which is J.
