What will happen with SIN-LAX flights when A350 ULR flights start?

Once LAX/SIN goes nonstop on the ULR A350, what do you think happens with the existing (SQ 7/8 thru ICN & SQ 11/12 thru NRT) frequencies?

Back when SQ 37/38 operated on the A345, SQ11/12 was on an A380, will that come back (coupled with cancelling SQ 7/8)? On the other hand, could see SQ axing SQ11/12 because so much traffic has shifted to HND.

Cant see 3 flights LAX/SIN under any circumstances unless SQ trying to drive down fares to push UA out.

I have been thinking about this a lot lately inasmuch as SQ37/38 made my monthly commute between LAX and SUB easier. I suppose we could see SQ7/8 get cut and replaced by the nonstop. I can't see them cutting 11/12 but I suppose anything is possible.

There's been something funny going on with SQ 7/8, in that when I had a booking for OCT (which I ended up switching to SQ25), BTC was not available for that flight, but was available for SQ11 and SQ25 on the same dates

My guess is that SQ11 switches back to A380 in order to maintain economy capacity with the direct flight being J/PE only

BTC has been down for everyone since weekend.....

Anyhow, I’m really interested to find out more on this as the non-stop to LA will definitely affect me one way or the other as I do SQ12 or SQ8 at least 3x a year.

I suspect that SQ 7/8 is more likely to be cut if anything needs to be cut given that SIN-NRT is only served by 2 flights a day vs. 4 flights a day for SIN-ICN. Unless SQ will end up wanting to centralize their operations in HND and cutting both frequencies to NRT and adding the other one to HND which I don't see as likely to happen.

interestingly within my booking my flight sq11 from lax to nrt shows 777-300er though from sq637 from nrt to sin shows no plane description. this only happened a couple of days ago. apologies for the lack of caps and grammar i'm walking and typing.

Might be either A) IT issue or B) an equipment swap for SQ 637 from 77W to either an A350 or the 787. Looking at a random date in September makes B the likely suspect since SQ 637 is operated by the 787 (at least on September 6).

SQ637 will be operated by a 787-10 from 19 May, which may explain why the website shows no plane description as they don't appear to have updated it with the 787-10 descriptor yet (the other 787-10 flights are the same).

I am flying SQ12 on an award booking around the holidays later this year and I haven't been able to find out any information that if they cancel this route, would I just get a refund of miles? I am concerned that by the time I get notice, there might not be any availability as I need to fly home the day before Thanksgiving.

It would be very very surprising if they canceled SQ12

Thank you. I've checked my flight in September and you are correct. I'm excited!
