Options to fly SIN - NRT

I will fly SIN-NRT in F next month. The options are SQ12 (day flight) or SQ998 (overnight). Do both F have skysuite? Which flight gives me pj and amenity bag? Last March when I flew from Sydney to SIN on SQ220 dayflight, there was no pj and amenity. The FA told me that all dayflight under 9 hours will not get any pj nor amenity. Is that correct from all SQ flyers' experience?

Yes, it's correct.

You have to check with SQ res as to whether there are any Skysuites on those flights. I know that SQ11/12 definitely has them but am unsure as to whether Wiseman has been introduced yet. (It hadn't in May).

Amenity kits are not distributed for day flights nor for 'regional' flights. I think TYO falls short of a long-haul flight.

Thank you Guy Betsy. Just called SQ and both flights have skysuites for the date that I plan. She said it's because only one seat in row 1, therefore it's a skysuite configuration.

I took 998 in June from SIN to NRT. A pajama and a Bvlgari amenity kit were handed out.

Chiangi, thank you. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif I should take SQ998 since I need the pj and amenity for a gift. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif

I'll be in 1st on SQ 998 on 28 August; I thought that they had the old 4-row configuration for this flight (3 rows in front of the door, 1 row of singles behind), but I'll be REALLY psyched if they have the suites...we'll see!

Will, I called SQ and for the day that I want, SQ998 the first row is only one seat (1B), the indication of skysuite. Hope still the same configuration on the day of my travel.

To report, I took SQ998 27Aug. Indeed, it was a skysuite. Got the pj and Bulgari toiletries. FAs are wonderful. Had noodle soup for supper and breakfast.

REALLY? Missed you by one day; I was on 998 Wednesday, 28 August, and on NH2 NRT - IAD on 30 August. Sorry I missed you.

We had the suites, pajamas, and Bulgari kits, too, plus Wiseman, plus everyone had their beds made (except for me) - there were 6 in 1st.

How lucky you are to get the Wiseman. Have the regular program. Missed the beginning of one movie, and had to wait 2 hours 15 minutes for the next cycle. Did you visit the lounge before departure? When I was there all internet terminals were used and these pax don't have any consideration that there are other pax who want to use the terminal. I stayed there for 90 minutes in the lounge and asked them twice to take turn using the terminal, but they just ignored my request. At the end I decided to head down and paid for 30 minutes use of internet. Glad to do that than to have an aggravation before my flight. When I was back at the lounge, those same pax still using the internet.

Yes, I used the lounge, and I didn't have problems - sorry to hear about the internet pigs. There were a coupld of kids on two of the terminals for a long time, though. Considering that there are four terminals, and there are signs posted suggesting consideration for other pax, that sucks. I wonder if the Raffles lounge has terminals - I've never wandered over there. Better luck next time, CGK.

I went to the other side. Raffles lounge has more terminals, but there are also more people waiting. Hopefully next time will be better.

Wisemen is not route specfic - I have found it to be a reall crap shot - for example, on my last 4 SQ1 flights from SFO to HKG - 2 were and 2 were not equiped
