SQ new A380 wifi satellite query

Some of you might have had trouble with very slow OnAir system (like I do, with emails with attachments dropping out and having to buy multiple lots of 50 MB on a flight because of the drop-outs causing the email to have to be resent) on the old (standard) SQ A380.

I'm wondering if the 'new' SQ A380 has a different system like the A350?

If anyone know, I'd be rather grateful to find out.

The new A380's now have Ka-band Global Xpress WiFi.

The pricing is as follows and expiry when either time or data is used whichever comes first.

30 mins or 30 MB - US $4.99
3 hrs or 150 MB - US$12.99
full flight (500MB) - US$29.99

Obviously, it's not as cheap as the A350's or 777's but download upload speeds of up to 2mbps are possible compared to 0.3mbps on the A350's/777's.

I've hit download speeds of 8Mbps on the B77W (9V-SNB) with the time-based pricing.

Yeh oops. I meant to put upload instead of download. (Edited to reflect that above)

On some recent A350 flights I've got 14mbps download.

Thanks very much for the response. Great, 1000% better than OnAir then.

I don't care too much about the price but I do not want the frustration of repeated drop-outs and serious slowness of the old system on the A380 (I find the system on 777s and A350s OK. It was just the old A380 system that bugged me big time).
