Unused Miles

Hi all, I have about 5000 Krisflyer miles that are expiring in March 2018. I haven't really thought to use these but I would appreciate your advice for what to do with them (other than using 1200 of them to keep them valid).
  • Have you found meaningful opportunities to use/transfer these miles?
Thanks!

Thank you! I'm personally learning something new that there is some use after all for some orphaned miles in my parents' accounts!

Same issue here as OP. I'm not based in Singapore, and shipping costs are over $100 when I try to buy something off the "sky mall" site.

Any other suggestions about somewhat intelligently using a handful (25k) Singapore miles during a time of non-travel?

Maybe email to ask them to extend the validity? Very unusual circumstances. From memory you can only pre-order for in-flight delivery up to 2 or 3 months in advance, not helpful when full service is 6 months away or more. Alternately, buy an easily resaleable item that will incur low shipping charge and sell it on. This may be the only way to get any value at all out of a voucher without shipping eating into the cost.

Where r u based at ? If in US, can book a United award for next year ?

And i I think Sq have extended the mile expiry by 6 months. So maybe you can wait a while longer.

My sister has around 120K expirying in a month ... she doesn't travel much but with the current restrictions will likely have to redeem it for something very less worthwhile.

I just got an email from Singapore that they are extending expiring miles by 6 months.
